Speeding Sinner Arrested Outside San Diego Church

by Elroy Willis -- March 13, 1999

SAN DIEGO (EAP) -- A San Diego woman was arrested yesterday for speeding and driving in the nude while in a frantic attempt to make it to church on time to confess her sins.

28-year-old Paula Sanchez was pulled over by officer William Young of the Highway Patrol for doing 95 mph in a 60 mph zone. After approaching Sanchez in her car, Young discovered that she was completely nude, and was clutching a Bible to her chest, trying to cover up her nakedness.

"It was a real shock to me," Young said. "I didn't know what to do or think or say. She started screaming about sinning and burning desires and being late for church, and that she'd burn in hell if she couldn't confess her latest sins in time."

"She had a really spooky glazed look in her eyes," he said.

Sanchez told Young that she'd been showering with her new shower massage when she was overcome with feelings of intense pleasure, then extreme guilt, and felt compelled to make a confession, and rushed out of the house with only enough time to grab her car keys and Bible.

"I don't understand why she didn't at least put on a bathrobe or overcoat," Young said. "It just doesn't make any sense. She was very upset and at one point shouted "Just give me the frickin' ticket and let me go in the name of God!."

While officer Young was running a check on Sanchez and her vehicle, Sanchez sped away and was chased for over five miles in a high-speed pursuit which ended with her arrest in front of Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church.

"I want to warn other Catholic and God-fearing women about the dangers of using the shower massage on their private areas, otherwise they might end up like me," Sanchez said.
